What's happening in Middlesex 3- UMass LOWELL
On January 10, 2019 over 100 Middlesex 3 Coalition members and partners joined us at UMass Lowell's Innovation Hub at the City of Lowell to hear What's Happening at UML. This discussion provided M3 members an overview of UML's new initiatives for corporate partnerships with the university, including a tour of the medical device incubator M2D2, the Innovation Hub technology accelerator, and the new Fabric Discovery Center, a collaborative research center for development and testing of smart materials. We also heard from Entrepreneurship for All (EforAll), a non-profit organization who is accelerating economic and social impact through entrepreneurship in mid-sized cities.
Thank you to Steven Tello, Vice Provost for Innovation and Workforce Development at UML, Arlene Parquette, Associate Vice Chancellor, Industry Partnerships & Economic Development at UML, Tom O'Donnell, Innovation Initiatives Senior Director, Innovation Hub Director at UML, and Lianna Kushi, Executive Director at EforAll Lowell-Lawrence for their presentations.
