The Middlesex 3 Defense & Innovation Summit will bring together defense industry professionals, business leaders, and regional partners to keep Massachusetts’ defense industry strong, growing, and innovative.
Massachusetts Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll will speak about SHIELD, the Commonwealth’s initiative to strengthen its defense and national security ecosystem. Read the SHIELD report and executive summary here.
U.S. Representative Lori Trahan (MA–03) will discuss the defense industry in her district and its role in Massachusetts’ broader defense ecosystem.
The event will feature UMass Lowell’s official opening of its new Security Operations Center (SOC), an integral part of the Lowell Innovation Network Corridor, which will help fortify area cities, towns and defense industrial base companies against cyber threats. Managed by CyberTrust Massachusetts and supported by SAIC and the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative’s MassCyberCenter and Center for Advanced Manufacturing, the SOC will also provide hands-on training for the next generation of cybersecurity professionals.
